Goat Roper Recipe

Mix together: one small girl, one large horse, one rope, one pig'n string, and one nanny goat, gently blend, fold in a tree for the goat to hide in, careful with the horse, twirl the rope and bring to a simmer.  When finished you have a small girl with a broken wrist, a gloating goat, and a spooked horse all wrapped in string.

  2. Sounds like a nice bit of mischief to be sorted out. Were you the girl, or the mum, or the grandma?

  3. Cindee: It was a bit wild at the time.
Nick: That goat was another one of himself's great purchases (see Sunshine Wash & Dry). I was the Mom.

  4. Hope you had plenty of healing hugs and warm buns from the oven.

  5. 'wrapped in a string' LOL!

A friend of ours is making us promise to see at least one rodeo event on our summer trip, he says we just can't miss showing the kids that. You're making me want to do it!

  6. Grannymar: There were a lot of warm hugs. That darn goat was a pain, til she decided she was a steer and ran off to the neighboring ranch. When they shipped their steers she went with them, yea!
Susan: You should plan to see a rodeo. It's great fun & your kids would love it.

  7. Yep that would do it.

But you're also left with one other thing.

    A lifetime memory.

  9. And I thought the only place you could see goat roping was in the rodeo. Yeah, yeah, they gotta practice sometime. Maybe without the tree?

  10. That would have made a priceless video, except for the broken wrist.
Sorry I have been gone for a while. Blogger(of course I may have hit a weird button) wiped out my entire blog list and I have been slowly rebuilding it.
