Sunday with film at 4:30...

Sunday,
Test day for Walkabout Willie's GPS tracker by Whistle3.  After a few glitches getting it set up on my phone, it was put on his collar, and he was turned loose. He stayed close to me for a while, til he figured out he wasn't on a lead, then off he headed to visit the pack at Marymine's. Ping went my phone, "heads up Willie is 500 ft from home" and it showed me where he was on the map. YeeHaw, So far so good!

XSIL C (it's amicable) & grandson Colt finished mounting the motor on the frame for granddaughter Lauren's "off to college in the fall pickup".  (This is the third vehicle C & grandkids have rebuilt together.)

Colt used the forklift to gently put the cab on the frame and the boys bolted her down.

Progress is being made.  Kids tend to take better care of things they have helped to build.

I laugh when someone says, "I could never live in the country, the quiet would drive me crazy!"
Sure it can be quiet on occasion, but more often than not it is a bit noisy, especially when the neighbors are having a disagreement...

    1. Old NFO,
It's looking better every chance they get to work on it. Can hardly wait to see it finished.

  2. Yea!! Willie has Big Brother looking after him!!
And congrats on getting parts and pieces on the frame! August will be here before ya know it. Now, if I could just get Hubby to finish the Chevy that is on jacks in front of the wood shop. It's been 2 years and counting...sigh...

    1. Suz,
      Yep, or at least granny.
The kids have taken a while to do this pickup, they only work on it during free time, and there is darn little of that farming.

    1. Well Seasoned Fool,
It does, and it is kinda cool to be able to see where he has gone.

  5. Neat on the tracker. If he takes off on another walkabout, at least you'll know where he heads.

Our country living doesn't have neighbors but we do have log trucks that travel the nearby highway, cows wanting their calf out of the barn and sheep protesting they need hay.

    1. Rain Trueax,
That tracker is interesting, it tells me where he is and shows his trail on the satellite map.
These neighbors are all the snow geese in the area.

  8. Nice truck! If it were not for good windows, I would not be able to sleep for all the noise the frogs in my swamp/field make! Their chorus is deafening!

    1. NotClauswitz,
It has been raining pretty steady here, so the boys have done some more work on the truck.
The frogs around the pond at Dad's house were pretty loud in the evening, especially after a rain.
