Slacker...

Yep, I have been slacking on posting. Things have been kinda busy around here with family, friends, and some projects...

The Halloween decorations are up on the outside of the house, thanks to a couple of little spiders...


Granddaughter J and I went to The Pumpkin Patch with friends a couple weekends ago.



  Spent what seemed like hours with much laughter, in the giant corn maze, then on to the pumpkin chunking. Lots of fun, but I almost got slung with my pumpkin.  After that we got to go into the pumpkin fields and pick out our pumpkins. 


This one, is one I got for Sean, mine is all bumpy & gnarly, sorta like...


I've been looking for a travel trailer for a while and not finding what I wanted, in price or floor plan.  Finally came across one 4 sale by owner in Oregon.




  It's a 2019 20ft'er made in Oregon.  The couple that owned it just bought it in May, took it out twice, and the husband had a stroke (he's better now).  So, they decided to sell it. I got it for a whole lot less than I would have had to pay if I had bought it off a dealer. The warranties are still good, and everyone is happy with the deal.  Here it is hooked up to my Tahoe (Nate). It sure pulls nice...



I have a huge learning curve ahead, but son Sean is helping me learn the ropes. I am excited... Now, I have a little place to call my own.

    I want an RV so badly. My little truck would pull an R-pod. Can't find a used one because people don't give them up. Oh well, maybe someday. Keep us posted on your travels.

      I looked at R-pods but they were too small for my Sean. He hit his head on the AC, (giggle). I have big & talls in the family and I wanted them to be comfortable in it as well. This one has a dome roof (no head butts)a walk around bed, and a regular shower.

    That's a great size. Good for one, easy to pull, and enough room for a little one to visit.

    Nice! I have enjoyed all your family posts--they remind me of when my grandchildren were young and all over this place. How those years flew by! The camper is perfect for you--jealous of all the fun you'll have with it.

      My grandkids are growing up so fast, the youngest is a junior in HS!
      Looking forward to an RV caravan trip to 5 national parks in the West with brothers and sisters in laws in the spring!!!

    I suggest Columbia Hills State Park..Horsethief Lake State Park, The same with a PC name change, just up the road from you...
    The trains are not too close to be a bother and it's a nice park..
    They just closed until spring..

      Thanks for the great suggestion, David. It's only about 2 hours due East of me, and fairly close to a BIL & SIL's river house near Rufus!!!

    How exciting on the trailer. It looks great. I love ours but we've been considering getting something that lets us take the grandsons, a couch and dinette that can make up into beds. We currently have table and chairs instead of dinette. I really like being out in it.

    I also like Columbia Hills State Park. Lots of great parks along the Columbia

      I am sooo excited about it! Now stocking it and learning all the different systems involved in operating it.
      The table in mine does not fold down into a bed, Sean has said he can modify that so it does... not sure I want to do that yet.

      The Great Pumpkin didn't come to the house... but lots of kids did! I was impressed with how well behaved and mannerly they all were.
