Seems of late, well actually longer than that, I have an idea for a project, gather up the materials, start, and squirrel... another idea for another project comes to mind.
I have enough yarn to knit dozens of hats & infinity scarfs, enough material to sew a lot of soup bowl cozies, enough beads & charms to make bunches of jewelry,
enough grout to fix three tub surrounds, enough paint to finish the down stairs bathroom, enough tulip bulbs to plant the entire yard and a couple of neighbors.

Dang, I need to stay on task or nothing is going to get finished.
Ohhh squirrel... arrived in the mail today...

On the plus side, you always have on hand what is needed to do something. Keeps boredom at bay.
ReplyDeleteBoredom is not the problem, lack of focus and enthusiasm seem to be at the forefront.
DeleteA day a horseback, a wood fire, a cuppa of hot coffee, and a hug would put me to rights I'm thinking...
I had to finally face facts and dumped 95% of my crafty stuff. When I see an embroidery project on Amazon I want it goes to my wish list. Same with any other crafty thing. I kept my paints and now that the outside stuff has come to a close (except a few piddling little jobs), I'll be scheduling painting time.
ReplyDeleteHope you share photos of your paintings.
DeleteI've pared down my crafty supplies and forbidden myself from buying one more craft item until at least a few completed items have gone out the door. When I should be burn'n daylight, I'm just no getting things done and that bothers me...
That's a great idea for re-purposing that rake!
ReplyDeleteIf you have enough storage space, keep what can be stored for just in case?
God bless!
I'm glad you like my necklace holder, found it with a broken handle in the boneyard of a ranch. I have another in the kitchen for my flapjack turners.
DeleteAnd then there are men. There was the word. To write, c.s. lewis, tolkein, the bible, stuff like that. Yes, I llive with a wonderment, knits, weaves, sews, pots, glazes, etc. I get worn out watching....
ReplyDeletePots & glazes... I took up learning to pot long ago at a wonderful place called Shibui in Paradise, CA under a master potter. Enjoyed the zen of throwing for a couple years til kids, cows, and life changed my path...
DeleteI resemble that remark. I have many projects, but weather and money choose them for me as of late. The weather has been warm and dry, so a new garden equipped with french drain is in order. Now I'm ready to plant the Daffodils.
ReplyDeleteYou are such a talented fellow, I don't doubt for a second that when you put your mind to a project it gets done.
DeleteWarm and dry... what is that?
LOL, if nothing else, it keeps you occupied... Right?
ReplyDeleteaaah no, and it doesn't seem to keep me out of trouble either... LOL
