Collections and such...

Having moved so much, I collect only a few things.

There is a tray of Heart shaped rocks, that the grandkids and I have found over the years. All are perfectly imperfect and all have a story...

A basket of old single spurs. How does one end up with only one spur?

The vase of feathers collected from hither and yon in the back of beyond.

And my small but prized collection of well used flap jack turners...

I've mostly finished with the spare bedroom, just need to get a closet door, hang it and then I'm done, til I'm not...

On another note:
My SIL & BIL just texted me to say my room is ready at the new river house, the weather is supposed to be perfect, and to come do a little painting, and a lot of fishing!

  1. I love the idea of collecting heart shaped rocks... or were those butts? :)

  2. That made for a soothing alternative to the coronavirus. And a room in a river house! I want one of those...

  3. Pan cake turners? I always called them spatulas.

    1. Some times I call them spatulas, but most times flapjack turners. Either way they are handy to have around.

  7. Brad went right to what I thought.

A closet door on a set of barn door rollers would look cool, but space and budget always enter into the equations.

    1. Like minds...
considered that but, I can't put a barn door up, there is no room for the return. The hovel came with no bedroom doors, and no door on the spare bedroom closet. Why they disappeared is any ones guess!

    1. Thanks, As I'm sure you have guessed an ol garden rake. Found in the bone yard on a ranch, with a broken handle. Doesn't appear to have had a hard life before the break. When I get a garden, it may be given a new handle and put to work.

  9. Badgers call them " Burger Flippers "! You really are a Renaissance Woman, of many facets!

  10. Nice little collections of oddities. I too have a feather collection, and a small collection (like, 3) hagstones (stones with naturally-made holes clear through them). One one spur, and a broken one at that, found in the dirt beneath the stone doorsill of one of the cabins we took down.

Your heart stones are really lovely, and those flapjack flippers! Nice!

    1. Sounds as though we both like little collections that mean something to us. I haven't heard of hagstones, so that will be another thing to look up.
