Just a few of the chicks I made from a basic pattern in a Country Threads quilt book. Altered the design a little and put them in homemade barnwood frames.
Grannymar: They are in a bedroom at the moment. I'm glad you like them. Nick: Thanks, Himself made the frames for me from some old barn boards I salvaged.
They're gorgeous! I love the frames but mostly I like how you did different 'breeds' with the quilt patterns.

What cool chicken quilts! The only quilts I've done were too ambitious for my time and I never finished. Oh, yes, there was an earlier quilt years ago that I finished, but I'd used such old worn-out fabric that it soon came apart :( These look fantastic in their wood frames.
Those chook pictures are really wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThanks, They were alot of fun to make.
ReplyDeleteOH! I like. Where do you display them? I see them in a great big warm and welcoming kitchen.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful. And the frames really set them off perfectly.

Those are adorable(-: The frame fits them perfect too.
ReplyDeleteI like those, very much.
ReplyDeleteI really like the barn wood frames.
ReplyDeleteIt amazes me how much a stack of rectangles and triangles can look like a bird.
