Brighid, I noticed this yesterday on Peter Tibble's posting on TGB but didn't have a chance to listen. I just watched now and cried all the way through it. What a beautiful experience.Thank you so much.
"I did my best, it wasn't much I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you And even though It all went wrong I'll stand before the Lord of Song With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah"Just beautiful.
I DO like how K.D. does this.
Mind blowing. Thank you.
Makes me cry too. I just recently saw a PBS special of Leonard Cohen and he performed it, wonderful, wonderful, ditto, KD Lang.
One of my all time faves - she opened the Vancouver Olympics with it.thank you Leonard, thank you Brighid.XOWWW
She has an amazing voice. Spellbinding.
Lang is a phenomenal talent. Her voice, the orchestra and this song are perfection together.
I'm mighty glad you are enjoying this as much as I am.
I am finally back online, and well worth the wait to hear this.
I like KD Lang after she stayed in the villa next to me in Barbados once, we shared a pool - true story.I don't think it was her but it looked like her and she said hello every morning so that was good enough for me.
GrannyMar: I'm sooo glad your back online, you were missed.Jerry: Do you think it really was her? Did she sing?
It looked like her, even close up, I sat right next to her on a bench in the back of a pick-up truck on our way to the beach one morning. She didn't sing though. No you're right, KD Lang wouldn't hitch a lift in the back of a pick-up truck.
Jerry: Oh I think she would hitch a lift in the back of a pick-up. She seems very down to earth from the interviews I've seen.
