Sparkin Chics...

If you are old enough, you might be thinking this post is about kiss'n, or chickens, or babes or some such.

If you are old enough, you might know something about what this took or not.

I'm old enough to know this is much more than my simple words can explain...

Congrats Doug and ARC Sparkin Chics...!

  1. This "City" boy used to love sparkin with chics. I now do my sparkin watching pacemakers go off at the senior's center.

77 and that was some horse he was riding.

    1. Woodsterman,
From what a very talented lady says, you are too modest about your sparkin abilities...

Hope ya'll and I are still going strong at 77.

  3. Not too shabby for his age... LOL He's DONE that once or twice. I was surprised he let the cow run, we were taught NEVER to do that, but we were working cattle, not competing. Cut 'em, move' em, and move on.l

    1. Old NFO,
Not nearly as easy as he made it look.
In competition it is a pattern he follows. He lets the cow run down the fence so he can show the ability of his horse to turn it back. Same for the other moves he made.
You are right, out on the ranch it's a different dance.

    1. Celia, Glad you liked it, I'm never quite sure what the followers of this rambling blog will like... so I go with the things I like...

    2. That's the only way to do it, Brig. I always have believed that if something bores me to death, it'll bore my readers, too. Hence, the absence of avocado toast recipes and such in my blog.

  6. Being from Michigan, I had expected talk about guys 'n' gals.
But I have read that a good cow horse is priceless, and I am pretty sure that horse is one. I think it had a great time out there. Almost like it was saying "is that all?"
    Great rider, too.

    1. LindaG,
Yep, for the most part those horses love what they do. Hope I'm still able when I'm 77...
