Eye see...

I've never really wanted a tat, but I just might rethink that...  Talked to my SIL M and I'm going to do it in marker the next time we go fishing.  We can't wait to see the look on BIL Don's face!

Not much happening around here. Working on hovel projects.  Two light fixtures over the stairwell need to be replaced.  Sean said he would help with that as he can reach them much easier than I can.  When I said I could do it, if I bracket the ladder between the walls, he shuddered and said "MOM NO!" sigh.

Also working on the crosses collage.  I've been picking up the occasional cross from thrift shops and yard sales. Going for a west/southwest theme. This is what it looks like so far...

I intentional did not space any of them evenly. How long I can handle that is yet to be seen.

Went to the eye doc for my yearly eye check up. I got a lecture on "When you have something going on, get your butt in here!"
Being my usual self, this is were I said, "Doc, my butt wasn't bothering me."
Except for that ocular migraine aura event all is well, and I have "real" reading glasses on the way.  I read so much that it was time to bite the bullet and get the prescription goggles.

  2. I get those "Visual Migraines" on occasion, too. Usually means I had too much caffeine.

We'll keep an eye out for crosses like that for you. The wife enjoys looking at antique stuff, and there's a place not far from here that has things like that at non-rip-you-off prices.

    1. He didn't mention the caffeine, but that could be it. I drink a lot of coffee...
It's very kind of you to keep an eye out. Hunting for things is part of the fun.

    2. Yes it is! I've spent years looking for certain things, and then after acquiring them, "The Thrill Is Gone"!

  3. A small problem with the right eye all of a sudden. Thank goodness it's not my shooting eye. OTOH, I shoot hand guns with the right eye and long arms with the left eye. It''s probably just as well that the contact weapons are just as well aimed as ever.

I lost the crosses long ago

    1. Mine is in my right eye, dominate eye, as well. So far not having much effect on shooting, thankfully. I'm so in the PNW... when I asked how the glasses where going to effect my shooting, the doc said, "Oh you mean for taking photos." "No, I mean for shooting, like Guns!"

You may have lost the crosses, they haven't lost you...

  4. You're like me when it comes to wall "Balance" I guess. It's good to have a little freestyle mumbo jumbo in your life.

I too need to see my eye guy.

    1. Thanks, a work in progress. The eye glass guy and I had quite the discussion about which frames to get. He suggested the normal granny's, aaah NO, I ordered the tactical camo kick ass ones...

  7. I like your cross collage. But you are right: this could become too much. Like the little painting in there too. Glad you are taking care of your eyes.

    1. If you approve Padre I feel blessed in this endeavor.
there are readers stashed everywhere around here due to bulk buying at Costco.

  10. I think you nailed the southwest theme, and the grouping looks right.

I've reached the point where the 1.50 magnifiers aren't good for all that much.

    1. Thanks, it helps me to have input on how others see things.

I have a box full of, now useless, 1.50's

  12. Pretty crosses. I've gotten the migraines with an eye neon element since I was pregnant with my first child. Back then doctors had no real clue but i went to an osteopath and he brought one on but solved the problem with adjustments to my neck. Now if I get them too frequently, I find a chiropractor. They sure used to scare me.

    1. Thanks.
I've friends that swear by their chiropractors.
Chiropractors and I however do not work. Yoga is much more helpful to me, but that's just me.
