No harm intended, yet
I finally got all the corrected correct paper work done, signed, and notarized for both of us in the D. What a hassle. Then to the courthouse to file the last of the papers. I'm not fond of going to the courthouse, though they are very nice in the family law division, as I set off the metal detectors every time. Time before last it was because of the hemostats in my purse and the staples in my Dansko's. This time it was my Swiss Army knife and the Dansko's again. Just ask'n, don't other grannys pack hemostats and Swiss Army knives, along with butterfly bandages, etc in their purses?

ReplyDeleteI just put my Amoeba on an airplane. First I confiscated all of the things he carries in his pockets and secured them inside his shaving kit inside his checked luggage -- but I won't be on the other end when he packs to come home ....
This granny has a Swiss Army knife, with scissors, sanitary wipes, and Hello Kitty bandaids. Shoulda seen what was in my big bag when my sons were toddlers.

ReplyDeleteHemostats and Swiss army knives, most intriguing. The stuff in my own bag is much more prosaic, nothing to set off any airport alarms. But it's scary how security measures generally keep increasing and how we stoically tolerate all the fuss and bother.
ReplyDeleteI long ago gave up carrying all kind of stuff in my bag...it just got to heavy a burden. I do have a package of dark chocolate covered almonds, though.
ReplyDeleteYikes, armed and dangerous. Actually, I carry pretty much the same things though mostly in my glove compartment. My back was starting to go when I tried to carry it all in my purse.

Tabor: Chocolates yum! It gets too hot here to pack them, and they get all smeary while eating at 75MPH...

I think my body will make more noise than my bag the next time I travel. I am told my new hip will ring bells!

Swiss Army Knives are too handy not to carry! Our courthouse tells you to leave your firearms at the door - in WV it's *assumed* you're carrying one LOL

I was alarmed to discover (google!) that in addition to your swiss army knife that the 'hemostat' you were carrying is actually "a vital surgical tool used in almost any surgical procedure!" Jeez Louise...has someone upset you! Other than that you seem to be in fine form...great to see ya back again Brighid...you were missing for a while! :)
ReplyDeleteI do carry band-aids for the grandkids but have not a clue what a Dansko is. I used to carry a pocket knife...but all the air travel has put that away.
