I was outside this morning, working in the garden and what do I hear. Nothing else sounds like one. It can't be, but it was! A beauty of a white Stearman circling the bunkhouse, after a while he flew off. Then I see him again, being followed at a respectfull distance by an Ag Cat and two Air Tractors. I don't know who he was, but he made my morning... So I'm going into the weekend with this in mind...
ALL: It was a Great weekend! Got a beautiful message from Marymine and the #1 son sent one as well. Visited with my mom & dad! Dinner with some of my grands, much laughter! And a sweet e-mail from my adopted Marines in the 'stan.
The N2S Stearman (also known as the 'Yellow Peril') started out as a military trainer. There are still a lot of them flying and it's an aircraft that I've personally always wanted to own.
LL: The one that flew over was in beautiful condition, and I assume on his way to a fly-in from his heading. I would be happy to have one close enough to catch a ride.
Airplanes and good music? Sounds like a great beginning to the weekend. Have a great one!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the images and good music. Now my weekend will be better too:)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing those old planes flying by, we get a few here too. Makes a good day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to start my morning. I've a bit of time in an old Stearman with the R680 300 horse radial engine on her.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day my friend.
