Granddaughter Lauren & the HS team she plays on won their volleyball game the other night. She is the setter and got named Player of the Match. Her older sister, granddaughter Ali, besides working full time & taking additional college courses, volunteers as an assistant coach.
All of the above is wonderful, but The Best part came after the game, when Ali gave Lauren a box.

What a great game. I was playing volleyball the first and only time I missed a date with Gruntessa. Flowers saved me that time. Great honor for Lauren and Ali.

DeleteAli went to college on a full ride volleyball scholarship, dean's list all the way, and just graduated with a degree in biology. I should be humbler about this, but these kids all know how to work.
