Home Again, Home Again

Having flown home on broomstick airways, I've been busy trying to catch up on the garden, the hens, the laundry, cleaning house, working on the deck, etc.
It was great to spend time with Sean & his Girls. Two weeks of non stop travel. Flying and driving hither and yon: five states, museums, cave, critters, old towns, mountains, trees, drag (car) races, cake deco class, swimming pools, hiking, seafood, wine, pedicure, & a twinkie wax. Take a slow calming breath.
We all have issues as the little grand girls like to say. I'm a real stickler for wearing seat belts. So the girls were quick to tell anyone who might care to know: "our granny has seat belt issues". "Darn right she does, we're not moving til your all buckled in." Sean's youngest, Little B, has CP and was in the hotel pool being dragged thru the water by another child. Just as I was about to put a stop to it, she hollers out to the offender, "stop that, I Have Breathing Issues."

  2. I hope that you do not go on vacation very often. This schedule could kill you. (Twinkle wax?)

  4. Arkansas Patti: LOL Guess we all do have Issues. Thanks for the welcome back.
Tabor: I don't get to go on vacation very often, so this was a treat. About the twinkie wax, it's a bikini wax. My daughter-in-law's idea. I wear a full body suit when swimming just so I don't scare others.
Grannymar: There are a few stories left to tell for sure. Thanks for your kind words.

  5. I'm surprised you aren't plain worn out and then home and straight back to the chores. Woman, you deserve a short recuperation period at home before you start back in with everything.

    Welcome back, you were missed.

  9. People are pretty good at wearing seat belts here in NI, in cars at any rate. In coaches and minivans people are more lax. But the real problem is still drink-driving, people are convinced they're capable of operating a lethal vehicle with a few pints inside them.

  11. We NEVER start the car until everyone is buckled up. We've been saved a couple of times just because we made sure to teach the kids to put on their seatbelts.

  13. Susan: I'm always up for an adventure with the kids, and glad to bring home the memories.
Jean: Thanks for your interest, and an awesome blog.
Nick: I am a stickler for wearing seat belts. My grandson just lost a close friend, 18 yrs old, to drinking & driving without a seatbelt. He would have walked away from the accident if he'd have been belted in. So very sad.
Rummuser: Thank you for stopping bye and the kind words. I've enjoyed reading your blog. One world.
Kay: Maybe we could start a pass if forward reminder to Always wear your seat belt. They have saved us more than once.
CiNdEe: Wow, thank you so much for the wonderful compliment. I have seven grands, but there is always, always room for more.
