Cowcamp news...

I'm feeling much better, thank you very much! Finally getting my energy back, and can smell the gardenias on the patio.

Back to Yoga class, so I made a T shirt to wear... only to learn my instructor is on a yoga/message trip to Bali. A girl friend and I will be on our own for a while it seems.

On another note...
Gunny mentor T is back from a month in Africa (completing his Spiral Horn Grand Slam and para gliding over Victoria Falls).

He said it was an amazing trip for him and his sons. Though I have no desire to go there it was very interesting to see his photos and read his comments on Africa.

I now have a much coveted membership in The shoot'n range here. It has only taken T and two years to get it. I can hardly wait to go and take Dad. Haven't shot the trap & skeet parts of the range yet, and my shotguns are needing some action. Dad is looking forward to going, and instructing from the seat of his walker.

Meanwhile Hank (the pickup), and I have been on a few missions for parts...

  1. So glad you're feeling better, Brighid. Um, is that picture of your truck a photoshop? What the heck is that??

I have no desire to go to Africa, either, but I will say that most people who go say it is very beautiful.

    Love your shirt!

    1. Adrienne,
Thanks! It's a real photo, I don't know how to do photoshop. That's a jet engine in the pic... just not my pickup.
He sent frequent tales of what they were doing and great pics. He said it was incredibly beautiful, and one has to see it to fully understand. I won't post them without his permission. There are just too many crazies out there.
About the shirt, it has been a hoot to wear, glad you like it.

I'm glad that you're feeling feisty and berserker-like again!

    1. LL,
I knew you would get the pickup photo. Wouldn't it be a hoot to drive in the driveway and holler for Dad to come help me unload the part for our home built experimental.
      Thanks, I'm glad too!

    1. CW,
True, but we aren't powering Hank with the jet engine. It's for a home built experimental, which will probably get even worse mileage...

  5. I will travel almost anywhere at any time. Africa would be big on my list if it were not so far away. I was wondering if you were moving something for an Air Force pal?? Glad you explained.

There is much right here that I want to see. No chair force here, fly NAVY!

  6. Looks like ol' Hank could use some new rear leaf springs. That, or maybe not load it with quite as much as that photo suggests.

Ol' Hank is doing fine, he has new Cabelas seat covers and is admired by many.

  7. So glad you are felling better. That sense of smell is such a handy gadget. It makes food taste better and lets you know when the dog needs a bath.
"Para gliding over Victoria Falls"? Wow that had to be a stunning view.
    Aren't little pickups priceless?

      Thanks.
Indeed, the para gliding does sound awesome!
Hank is wonderful, he is going on his first trip to the county dump soon. How is that for exciting!

  9. Great post. Glad to know you are feeling better. I don't think I would want to cross the firing range even when it is closed. (reading instructions.) For a minute I thought that jet engine was some kind of giant gun you were taking to the range to try out. LOL

      Thank You!
It is a nice range, the guys have done a good job of building and maintaining it.
Thanks for playing WWF with me, it has been great fun.

  11. So, now that you're well and have Hank souped up properly, will we be seeing selfies of you smoking your Ashton Maduro and drinking scotch while cruising at Mach 3 down I-5? It's gotta be hard to keep that thing lit in that wind, even with the tactical cigar holder, right? :)

    1. GOMC,

LOL... It would be a hoot to do, but alas I don't care for selfies. Way too incriminating. I do need to do some R&D on the tactical c'gar holder at speed. hmmmm...

  12. What kind of "Mission"? Would that be a "Space Mission"? Glad you're feeling better.

I'm glad to be feeling better.
See a bit of sunshine on that snow you got. Be careful.
