There is so much yet to do, to learn, to experience... looking forward from 70. One day into this journey, it doesn't feel like 70, what ever that is supposed to feel like.
I am blessed with great family, good friends, and good health. I am just me.
So as I sat at mass I had one prayer...
and one question...

Hope your birthday was great. And answer to your question, if the holy water sizzles it means you're on fire!
ReplyDeleteNelly, it was great, Thanks. About darn time I got fired up...
DeleteHappy Birthday, Brig - 'hope you day was filled with wonderful surprises! And a big "Thank You!" from all of us for being who you are! :o)
ReplyDeleteChickenmom, Thanks, that is kind of you.
DeleteYour birthday has passed but the celebration of you continues! (still, I'm not all that surprised that Holy Water sizzles and pops when it hits your skin....)
ReplyDeleteLL, Thanks, I'm not too surprised either... lol
DeleteI am two months ahead of you and will look to you for inspiration for staying young and active. Happy Birthday my friend:-)
ReplyDeleteGranny Annie, We got this!
DeleteI am a few months away from the same birthday, but will stay away from churches as the water may sizzle and lighting may strike.
ReplyDeleteTabor, Whoa, no lightening here, thank Heaven!
DeleteHappy Birthday, Brig. Welcome to the world of 70.
ReplyDeleteAdrienne, Thanks, I'm thinking I should learn how to weld, since the biscuit making has been a bust!
DeleteHaving never partaken in Baptism or Holy Water, I do not have the gravitas to answer your question other to wonder whether the Holy Water was cold when it left its special nozzle by the entrance to the church. If so, then you, Brig, on your 70th birthday are a hottie and I say to all men in the Big Valley...watch out. I wish you only the very best as you embrace this new decade in your life. I'm not too far behind.
ReplyDeleteCheri, Thank you for the good wishes. Might be a bit of an oxymoron: 70 and hottie! We still have try, and that counts, right?
DeleteHappy Birthday! May you have many more happy ones to come!
ReplyDeleteCiNdEe, Thank You.
DeleteIt means that you've been munching "pop rocks" in church again, and the residue was still on your fingers. When will you ever grow up, Brig??? JK! Happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteGruntOfMonteCristo, LOL, I don't plan on growing up anytime soon!
DeleteHappy 29th for the 41st time... :-)
ReplyDeleteOld NFO, Geez sounds worse that way than just saying 70. I worked pretty darn hard to get to 70, so I'm owning it!
DeleteHappy birthday! Beat ya. . . did it on the 9th..... :-) Now dance to the tunes that tickle your heart.
ReplyDeleteAnon, Thanks, seems like I'm in good company. Happy Birthday to you. Dancing...
DeleteWell Shoot! I thought I wore older than yous. I be hittin 70 in abouts 5 months.
ReplyDeleteWoodsterman,
DeleteYeah, just wait, I hate going to the senior center, but it's the only place I still get carded...
