If you have a moment to send a prayer for a successful surgery and a smooth healing process in the long weeks ahead, I would be most grateful.
UPDATE: Miss B is out of surgery after nearly 7 hrs! I won't go into details of what the surgeries entailed, but they were all major. She is still a bit loopy (I think that runs in the family though, so I should say loopier than normal).

Thank you all for the prayers! She is doing well!
UPDATE#2 July 3, 2019 Got to take Miss B on a couple spins around the unit, with Jacey handling the meds tree.
Transfers were a little tough, but she hung in there. Gently stroking her forehead seems to calm her. (I've used that technique on the kids & grands for years. Hasn't failed me yet.)
She has a prime view for the Fourth of July Fireworks on the Willamette River from her room.

Done. God bless.
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda. We are hopeful that this will give her more mobility.

DeleteGlad she's doing OK. God bless you young lady!
DeleteI'm late to the blog... I hope it went well!
ReplyDeleteRob, No worries, it went well. I will post an update shortly.
DeleteI missed the prayer for the operation, so here's praying she has a speedy, successful, FULL recovery.
ReplyDeletedrjim: Thank you!
DeleteI missed the prayer for the surgery also. Praying for a full recovery, and for all her family. I hope this turns into a blessing for her, such things often do, although it doesn't seem like that's possible at the time. Fortunately, she has a good grandma.
ReplyDeleteMark P, Thanks for the kind words and prayer!
DeleteOMGosh. That's a long time for surgery. Glad she's out and semi-awake.
ReplyDeleteAdrienne, It is indeed, but she made it through like the trooper she is and doing well.
DeleteI’m glad it turned out well and prayers offered on the way.
ReplyDeleteHMS, Thank You!
DeleteShe is such a beautiful girl.. sorry she has had to go through so much. Happy she is doing well.
ReplyDeleteLatane, She is inside and out, and one tough kid!
DeleteVery good news.
ReplyDeleteHoping your next update includes a photo of her jogging around the ward.
scamorama, I'm thankful that she came through the surgery so well. Going to have a long wait for photos of jogging though, she is looking at close to SIX MONTHS before she is fully mobile.
DeleteShe'll beat that 6 months. You just watch.
DeleteI believe.
Oh, my. I just came here, and found the news. I'm so glad she's out of that long surgery, and doing well. I'll pray for an uncomplicated recovery -- one that's as speedy as possible. I might even include some prayers for a family (and a grandma?) who have to be worn by worry, too.
ReplyDeleteshorecacres, Thanks, the prayers are appreciated. Our work begins when she is released to home...
DeleteWhat a lovely young lady, best wishes for a speed recovery.
ReplyDeleteAZDave, Thank you!
DeleteI hope she will fast and well!
ReplyDeleteScott, thank you!
DeleteShe looks tough but beautiful. She clearly needs some summer reading material. I do hope that what was wanted was what came to pass.
