Line a 9 x 13 pan with 6 or more slices of uncooked bacon,
pour 1 cup uncooked rice over the bacon. On top of the rice put uncooked chicken pieces, skin on. Salt & pepper the chicken, and sprinkle a little paprika over it.
Whisk together 1 can cream of chicken soup and 1 cup water, adding a little bit of garlic salt, a pinch of nutmeg, 1 teaspoon oregano, and 2 to 3 tablespoons of parsley flakes. Pour over the chicken pieces and cover with heavy foil.
Cook at 300 degrees for two hours, with no peeking. Serve

Not what I had in Mind
Have come down with the chest cold from hell. Read somewhere that if you slathered Vick's on your feet, put on the fluffy cotton socks, you would breathe easier. So far, all that's happened is I smell like one of the guys in the ol folks home, and that stuff doesn't wash off, sheee-it*... (*borrowed from Nellie)
Called Marymine today and backed out of helping there this week. Darn, I know she can use the help.
Trying to get the Christmas stuff put away. Covering the big tree so I can stow it in the garage has been a challenge, it had me down on the floor a few times, but I managed to fight my way out. And, who thought up the torture of wrapping 6,000 strings of lights on those wrapping paper card board center things. I say throw them in the container, and let them sort themselves out, or not.
Geez, I just read this post and there appears to be a very high probability that I need to get out a bit more.
Cough, cough, cough, sorry, don't know if its this cold, or the fumes from my poor feet..

The problem with Angels
You will not believe it... well you might. I pulled the Arc Angel out of the closet, the noise was getting a bit deafening. Then carefully lifted it out of the Made in China box. There he stands in all his chipped & scratched plastic splendor. Actually it may be a girl angel, (with bird in hand), but the long haired Arc dude is more suited to my fancy. Flipped him on his head to read the Made in China sign, and what do I find: The Price Tag from G's department store. Dear mother always leaves the price tag on things, encase we are not appreciative enough.!
I have gotten items from a garage sale of hers, that didn't sell, passed on to me (with Much ado, mind). Always, with price tag still attached. (50 cents, no sale! gift it to Brighid) I seem to be the only one in the family that is afforded this dubious honor. Oh not true, Marymine is also, or at least she was before mother got miffed at her for not going up to see her.
The Angel is out of the Box.

Angel in hiding
My mother, my mother, I told her a long time ago that Marymine collects unusual angels, in a small way. And on occasion has given me a special one. What does mother get me for my birthday, but, a rather LARGE Arc Angel. Beautifully done in dented & scratched plastic. Now mother is calling every few days to hear where I have placed this, ah, Angel in my garden. I have so far, a few weeks mind you, stalled with the (lie) story of "these things must speak to us of where they should be placed". Little does she know, that Angel is having a heck of a time speaking to anyone from inside that box in the back of the workroom closet. I tried to get Marymine to take him for a while, sort of a perpetual Angel thing. She in all kindness said, "Mom, yeah, NO!" I just need to have someone send up a flare if they see mother headed this way...
