Water therapy...

As I was slaving away in the brush Saturday, one set of my BIL & SILs (P and Dar) were kayaking on the river.  The first kayaking run of the season; checking the location of snags, exploring, and doing a little fishing

I asked Dar if this was the catch or the bait. He didn't answer, just The Look.

The river is really low as we are in drought mode.

P at the entrance to what I think is Ink Creek.

P is the Admin Assistant to an attorney, and Dar is a Marine (Ret.), and a retired LEO.  They are really good people, and have stuck with me through thick and thin.
They have assured me that I will be taken along on the next go round.  YeeHaw, it's time for water therapy.

  1. Sorry for the low water, we're getting it here too. Still, any day on the water is good one to me. Hope you get out soon.

  2. That looks like so much fun! Wish I was there.

We're only a tiny way away from the Spokane River, but I'll stick to swimming since I'd probably end up going over the damn in a kayak.

  4. That's just about as much fun as anyone can expect to have with their clothes on.

  6. CELIA: Yes, I love being on the water. Are you kayaking this year?

ADRIENNE: The Spokane is beautiful, and kayaking would be a great way to enjoy it. I hope you try kayaking.

ARKANSAS PATTI: Damn, why did you sell it?

LL: Well it's one of the ways...

KURTP: He's a retired Marine, I didn't know the proper form of address for that. I hope I've fixed it. If it is still incorrect please let me know. I have a lot of respect for his time in service and him.

  10. Looks very relaxing! I would love that. I think the flashy, big-brimmed cowgirl hat would come in handy in that sun, too... Who needs a derby?

  11. You know, I have a very good mind to get a kayak and head down the Brazos (maybe 2 kayaks).

  12. LSP - if Brig and the whole DLC show up, we'll have to rent well over half a dozen kayaks to do the Brazos River Flotilla (irregular).

  15. LL, I like that idea. We could float off just below Whitney dam.

  16. TABOR: Memories for the grands!

    GRANNYMAR: I hope so too.

JENNY: The hat would make a statement alrighty, but scare the fish away...

LSP: You should get out there.

LL: Sounds like an interesting plan.

Jenny: A well armed flotilla, the Texas Navy!

WOODSTERMAN: True, kayaking in the ranch reservoir just isn't cutt'n it.
