Did your House Representative just vote to
maintain welfare benefits for illegal aliens but cut VA and retirement
benefits for soldiers disabled in combat?
Did they really just do that?
Did you vote for that person?

Do you know where to find the contents of the bill and how it does affect the disabled vets retirement benefits?

ARKANSAS PATTI: Thank you for taking the time to look.
I 'think' it is a 1% cut of retirement income for those retirees between the ages of 40(something) and 60(something). It is supposed to impact those who go on to work at jobs when they take retirement pay from their military service and they are still of working age. I am not saying it is justified or good. I am just explaining what I heard.
ReplyDeleteAccording to PBS it adds up to about $100,000 dollars in cuts over the average lifetime of a retiree.
ReplyDeleteThankfully mine didn't but I also didn't hear him railing against it either. Time for some correspondence.
ReplyDeleteI don't get it. I just don't.

LL: It is unconscionable to me that the gov could treat Our vets this way.
GRANNY ANNIE: Thank you for your insight into this deplorable treatment of those who served. You are justly proud of your good man, as I know he was of you. Shared chocolates...
I am sorry for deleting my last comment but I could just picture Ron rolling his eyes at me for getting carried away.
