Home of the Brave...

Today is such an important day in our history. Take a moment to consider all that went into making it possible.  Take a moment to consider what is a continual process to make it so today and into the future. Freedom isn't free, we must earn it daily.
Celebrate, but don't forget the cost in lives & treasure that made it possible.
I encourage you to take or take a son, daughter, grandchild, friend to a Project Appleseed.  Project Appleseed teaches the fundamentals of rifle marksmanship and the history and heritage of our country. It is the primary focus of the Revolutionary War Veterans Assn.  Much more than a rifle class it is a great short course in our history. (info@appleseedusa.org)
Have a good Independence Day!

  1. Or you could take them to project Applewood Club, where they learn intelligence collection and tradecraft, foreign espionage and sabotage, counter-terrorism, infiltration, information exploitation, management of asset identification, recruitment, and development including IED making and so forth... ;^)

  3. While I respect the importance of teaching a child the use of a tool such as a gun, I also think we need to teach children to listen, to balance an argument and to evaluate whatever data input they get critically and to realize there are other solutions to our problems sometimes.

  4. TABOR: We do need to teach the skills you listed, and they are a large part of every good gunny class.
