Went to a dinner last evening at the home of the friend that gave me the flag (iris) rhizomes. Hers are blooming ahead of mine, so I took some photos to show you.
It's a bearded iris named Presby's Crown Jewel.
Happy Easter!

UPDATE Iris 04-19-2017
Took my early morning coffee out on the patio to watch the sun peek over the Sierras, and the wait has ended, Presby's Crown Jewel is blooming...
SCOTT, My friend and I live within a couple of miles of each other, but my flags are a week or so away from full bloom. Glad to hear your are feeling better.
I love Iris! That is a pretty one. Have you ever been to see the Iris blooming at Schreiners gardens in Salem, Oregon? I guess it is pretty awesome. I always wanted to go but never have.
Very pretty, I hope yours works out every bit as well.
