My granddaughter's wedding was wonderful. Only wish Dad & the Cowman could have been there. They would have had the best time, and they would have liked Tyler's family as much as the rest of us do.
I got to meet Tyler's grandfather & grandmother, among many others that had flown out from Kansas for the wedding. Good people. Before the ceremony Tyler's grandfather and I were talking and he warned me, we better take good care of his boy, I said he best look out for my Ali, we sealed the deal with a handshake & a hug.
I promised pics so here you go:

and finally the part Dad would have really loved, the showering of the bride & groom with rice...
Beautiful! They were there in spirit!
ReplyDeleteCiNdEe,
DeleteIt was a good day and fun, too.
I sure hope they were.
I wish the happy couple, joy, happiness, prosperity and children.
ReplyDeleteLarry,
DeleteI will sure pass on your good wishes. Hope they hurry up and give me some great grandbabies to love on.
Looks like a wonderful wedding and family time :) What shoes did you finally wear? *s*
ReplyDeleteRain,
DeleteAll good, got to visit with a bunch of ol neighbors and friends and family.
LOL, I'm thinking I might have gone overboard talking about the shoes...
Thanks to Odie's suggestion, I found a pair of black strappy heels right here in RB.
Nice lookin' bunch of kids! Congratulations on the family-line extending well into the future.
ReplyDeleteThanks, more importantly (to me) they all have commonsense, integrity, and great work ethics.
DeleteWhat a special day, congrats to the newlyweds!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenn!
DeleteWhat great pictures!! Looks like lots of fun was had by all. And I love her flowers--those were big sunflowers!! I never saw rice being showered that way before! Lol.
ReplyDeleteSuz,
DeleteThank you. It was great fun for everyone.
LOL we are all country and got to the church early. The wedding planner came up to me and said, "I have never had this happen before!!!" (I thought something must have gone wrong.) when she said, "Everyone is here and ready EARLY, what an amazing family!"
Good on y'all! And he was a little high for that pass...
ReplyDeleteOld NFO,
DeleteLOL, he came in reallly low the first pass..
Wow that rice showering was sure different but what fun! Pretty bride.
ReplyDeleteChanges,
DeleteIt was so much fun! Thanks, lots of common sense, & smart, too.
Excellent rice shower. May many blessings shower down on those happy young people and the rest of you too. I can really see you in those two girls.
ReplyDeleteCelia,
DeleteIt was a wonderful wedding all the way round. Thank you for the blessings for them.
Thanks for sharing the pictures of the beautiful bride and her handsome new husband. Very sweet.
ReplyDeleteCheri,
DeleteWell I did promise. They are good young people.
The sunflowers we have here in WI, have very rough stems, not pleasant to hold.
ReplyDeleteScott,
DeleteAli's dad raises lots of black oil sunflowers, amony other things, and you are right their stems are very rough. The ones in the wedding were raised for the flower market and they have stems that aren't as rough.
It was all too wonderful! Thank you for sharing. Who piloted the rice plane? Beautiful couple from beautiful families.
ReplyDeleteGranny Annie,
DeleteYou would have had a good time!
A family friend flew the rice on, and that is as much as can be said in this dang state.
Thank you for the kind words.
Thanks, Padre!
ReplyDeleteThat's the only way to throw the rice!
ReplyDeleteWoodsterman,
DeleteIt was great fun.
Common sense, integrity, and work ethic? Invaluable -- but handsome and pretty, too! I'm staring and staring at the bridal bouquet. Surely that's not a prickly pear pad in there! It must be more of those leaves. You wouldn't want cactus to get in the way of a first kiss.
ReplyDeleteshoreacres,
DeleteThanks.
LOL, no prickly pears in this outfit!
