You've come a long way, baby...

He is one of the lights of my life, & the best son! Though he does seem to have forgotten that he constantly said, as a little guy, that he wanted to buy his mom a red sports car when he got big.

It has been an amazing journey, here's to many more adventures...

 Happy 47th Birthday, Sean
Love, mom

  3. Happy Birthday Sean. You sure do have a good mama and hope you will get her a red sports car one day. My son is almost 47 and when he was a youngster I ask what he was going to do when he had his drivers license. He said I'll just throw your wheelchair in the backseat and we'll head on down the road. No I wasn't then and am not now in a wheelchair.

    1. Granny Annie,
Thanks, I think I need to remind him about that red sports car.
Sounds like you have a caring son, too.

    1. Rain,
Thanks. When I named Sean there weren't any others around here spelled that way. Can't tell you how many times his name was mispronounced as "Seen". He got good at politely correcting people.

    2. Ours ran into that too. I actually wanted to spell it Shawn because I'd been reading a book where the hero had that name. Sean's grandmother said if I did they'd think he was a girl. As a school teacher, she had seen that happen. Because we'd written it that way at the hospital, we had to quickly get it changed on the birth certificate or it'd have been more complicated. It led to a strike through on the original spelling. I suppose she might've been right but I've yet to know a Shawn-- female or male-- other than in that historical novel.

  8. I hope someday he gives you a red 1967 Mustang Fastback, with a 289 in it, so you can afford to drive it.
